Notification Preferences

Overview

Kowiki sends notifications to keep you informed about activity in your workspaces. You control which notification types you receive and can adjust preferences at any time.

Notifications are personal — your choices do not affect what other team members receive.

Accessing notification settings

1. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
2. Select Profile Settings from the dropdown menu.
3. Click the Notifications tab.

Notification channels

Email is the primary notification channel. Notifications are sent to the email address associated with your account. To update your email address, see Profile Settings.

Notification types

You can enable or disable each notification type independently.

Sync notifications

• Sync complete — Receive an email when a data sync finishes successfully.
• Sync errors — Receive an email when a sync encounters an error and requires attention.

Sync notifications help you stay on top of data freshness without manually checking sync status.

Team notifications

• New team member joined — Receive an email when someone joins your workspace.
• Role changed — Receive an email when your role in a workspace is updated (for example, from Member to Admin).

Content notifications

• Content updates — Receive an email when pages or sections you follow are edited or published.

Enabling or disabling notifications

To change a specific notification type:

1. Navigate to Profile Settings → Notifications.
2. Find the notification type you want to adjust.
3. Toggle the switch to on (enabled) or off (disabled).
4. Changes save automatically.

To disable all notifications:

1. Navigate to Profile Settings → Notifications.
2. Click Disable All at the top of the notification list.
3. All toggles switch off.

You can re-enable individual notifications at any time by toggling them back on.

Recommended settings

For most users, keeping the following notifications enabled provides a good balance:

• Sync errors — Alerts you to issues that may need action.
• Role changed — Keeps you aware of permission changes.
• Content updates — Tracks changes to pages you care about.

Workspace Owners and Admins may want to keep New team member joined enabled to stay informed about team growth.

Notification frequency

Kowiki sends notifications in near real-time as events occur. There is no digest or batching option at this time. If you find notifications too frequent, disable specific types that generate the most volume.

Troubleshooting

If you are not receiving expected notifications:

• Verify the notification type is enabled in your settings.
• Check your spam or junk folder.
• Confirm your email address is correct in Profile Settings.
• Contact support if the issue persists: Contact Support.
