What's Included in the Trial

Every new Kowiki workspace starts with a 14-day free trial that gives you full access to Pro+ plan features. This lets you explore the complete Kowiki experience before choosing a plan.

During your trial, you have access to:

• 10 source connections — Connect multiple knowledge sources and see how Kowiki unifies them. See Connecting Sources for setup guidance.
• All platform apps — Access your wiki across every supported platform, not limited to the web. See Platform Apps for available integrations.
• 10 editors and 100 viewers — Invite your team and test collaborative workflows. Learn about roles in Roles Explained.
• Unlimited synced users — Connect Slack or Teams and give your entire organization access to knowledge.
• 15-minute sync frequency — Sources update automatically every 15 minutes so your wiki stays current.
• AI Knowledge Agent — Ask questions and get answers drawn from your connected sources. See AI Knowledge Agent for details.
• Custom domain — Set up a branded URL for your wiki.
• Reverse proxy support — Embed your wiki within your existing website infrastructure.
• Full SEO/AI discoverability — Make your public knowledge findable by search engines and AI assistants.
• Priority email support — Get faster responses from the Kowiki support team during your trial.

How the Trial Works

Starting Your Trial

The trial begins automatically when you create a new workspace. There is no activation step, no promo code, and no credit card required. You see a trial banner in your workspace indicating how many days remain.

During the Trial

Use the full 14 days to set up your sources, invite team members, configure your wiki, and evaluate whether Kowiki fits your workflow. The trial is fully functional — everything you create and configure carries over if you upgrade.

Trial Countdown

You can check your remaining trial days at any time:

1. Navigate to Settings → Billing.
2. The trial status and remaining days display at the top of the page.

You also receive email reminders at 7 days and 3 days before your trial ends.

What Happens After the Trial

When your 14-day trial ends, your workspace reverts to the Free plan unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

On Reversion to Free

• Your data is preserved. Nothing is deleted. All pages, sources, configurations, and team settings remain intact.
• Pro+ features become inaccessible. The AI Knowledge Agent, custom domain, reverse proxy, and full SEO features are disabled until you upgrade.
• Excess connections become read-only. If you connected more than 1 source during the trial, the extra connections stop syncing. You can still view the content but cannot edit or re-sync until you upgrade or remove excess connections.
• Excess team members become read-only. Members beyond the Free plan limits (1 editor, 5 viewers) lose edit access. No one is removed from the workspace.
• Sync reverts to manual. Automatic syncing stops. You need to trigger syncs manually on the Free plan.

Upgrading Before or After the Trial

You can upgrade to any paid plan at any time — during the trial or after it ends:

1. Navigate to Settings → Billing.
2. Click Change Plan.
3. Select your preferred plan and complete payment.

If you upgrade during the trial, billing starts on the day you upgrade. If you upgrade after the trial ends, your paid features activate immediately upon confirmation. See Upgrading and Downgrading for full details.

Trial Extensions

If you need more time to evaluate Kowiki, you can request a trial extension by contacting support. Extensions are handled on a case-by-case basis and are typically granted for teams that need additional time to onboard members or connect complex source configurations.

To request an extension, reach out to support before your trial expires and include a brief explanation of what additional time you need.

Tips

• Connect your most important sources early in the trial so you have time to see syncing and the AI Knowledge Agent in action.
• Invite key team members in the first few days to gather feedback while the trial is active.
• Compare plans before your trial ends using the Plans Overview so you know which plan matches your usage.
