The Web Wiki is a hosted web portal that provides a full browsing experience for your wiki content. It runs at yourworkspace.kowiki.co by default and offers navigation, search, and the AI Knowledge Agent chat widget — all accessible from any browser on desktop or mobile.
Unlike the Slack and Teams apps, people who access the Web Wiki are counted as viewers. Viewer seat limits depend on your billing plan. For details on how viewer and synced user roles differ, see Roles Explained.
Every Kowiki workspace includes a Web Wiki at:
yourworkspace.kowiki.co
Replace "yourworkspace" with your actual workspace slug. You can find your URL in Workspace Settings > Apps > Web Wiki.

Access depends on how you configure your wiki's visibility:
You control visibility at the section level, so you can mix public and private content within the same wiki. For example, keep internal policies private while making product documentation public.
The Web Wiki displays your wiki's structure in a sidebar navigation:
Click any section name to expand it and see its pages. Click a page title to open it in the main reading area. The sidebar stays visible as you read, so you can navigate between pages without losing your place.
Pages render with full formatting — headings, lists, images, tables, code blocks, and embedded media all display as intended. The reading view is clean and focused, with a table of contents for longer pages that helps you jump between sections.
The search bar at the top of the Web Wiki searches across all content you have access to:
Search matches page titles, headings, and body content. Results display the page title, the section it belongs to, and a snippet showing where your query appears.
The AI Knowledge Agent is available as a chat widget in the Web Wiki:
The chat widget stays open as you navigate between pages, so you can reference pages while asking questions. Start a new conversation at any time by clicking New Chat.
The Web Wiki is fully responsive and works on phones and tablets. On smaller screens:
No separate mobile app is required — the Web Wiki adapts to any screen size through the device's browser.
By default, your Web Wiki is served at yourworkspace.kowiki.co. If you want to host it at your own domain (like docs.yourcompany.com or help.yourcompany.com), you can configure a custom domain.
