Kowiki search lets your team find information across every page they have access to. Whether you are looking for a specific document or exploring a topic, search works across page content, titles, summaries, and tags to surface relevant results.
When you type a query, Kowiki searches across:
Results are ranked by relevance, with exact matches and title matches weighted more heavily. Pages in sections you do not have permission to view never appear in your results.
The primary search experience lives in the web wiki.
After searching, you can narrow results using filters:
Filters combine with each other. For example, you can search for "deployment" within the "Engineering" section tagged with "infrastructure."

AI-powered search is available on select plans. Workspaces on plans without AI search use standard keyword matching, which still searches across all content, titles, summaries, and tags.

The more specific your query, the better your results. Instead of searching "process," try "customer onboarding process" or "deploy to production."
If you know the topic area, combine a broad query with a tag filter. For example, search "setup" and filter by the onboarding tag to find setup guides for new team members.
When you know which part of the knowledge base holds your answer, navigate to that section directly instead of searching. Section browsing is faster for known locations.
Summaries often contain keywords and phrases that differ from the page body. If a keyword search misses what you need, try alternative phrasing β the AI summary may use different terminology.
In workspaces with hundreds of pages, section filters dramatically reduce noise. Filter to the relevant section before scanning results.
